Terms and Conditions – DOG2YOU Ltd Dog Walking Services
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all dog walking services (“Services”) provided by DOG2YOU Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“you”, “your”, the “Client”). By booking or using our Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services Provided
- We offer professional dog walking services including individual walks or group walks with dogs from the same household, GPS-tracked using Tractive and insured care.
- Tarriff:
- 1:1 dog walking (individual) – £20/hour
- same household dog groups (group) – £15/hour/dog
- All walks are conducted on-leash unless otherwise agreed upon in writing or verbally, after a relationship of trust is built between the walker and dog.
- We come prepared with multiple types of leashes however collars and harnesses must be provided by the clients.
2. GPS Tracking
- The dog or the same household group of dogs will wear one GPS tracker supplied by Tractive during the walks, providing live location updates (every 10-15 minutes) and walk history.
- Clients may be granted access to walk data upon request but other than it being used for our clients’ peace of mind (dog’s whereabouts), this data is not used for anything else.
- While we strive for consistent functionality, GPS tracking may be affected by signal issues or hardware malfunction. We are not liable for temporary interruptions.
3. Leash Policy
- All dogs will remain on leash during walks unless:
- The dog demonstrates reliable recall.
- A consistent relationship of trust is developed between walker and dog.
- Written or verbal consent is provided by the client.
- Even with consent, leash-free time is at the discretion of the walker and may be limited to secure, off-road environments.
4. Insurance and Liability
- DOG2YOU Ltd holds public liability insurance covering injury, loss, or damage caused during our care.
- This does not include:
- Pre-existing injuries or conditions.
- Aggressive or dangerous behaviour not disclosed by the client about the dog.
- Damage or injury resulting from dog’s own equipment failure (unless due to our negligence).
5. Client Responsibilities
- Dogs must wear a secure collar or harness with identification.
- Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and free from contagious illnesses.
- Clients must disclose any known behavioural issues or health concerns.
- Emergency contact information must be provided and kept up-to-date. The main emergency contact will be the one who made the booking.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
- We kindly ask that you give at least 12 hours’ notice if you need to cancel a scheduled walk. Cancellations made with less than 12 hours’ notice may be subject to the full charge. However, we reserve the right to waive or reduce the fee at our discretion.
- In the event of severe weather or emergencies, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule walks. No fee will be charged in such cases.
7. Emergency Protocol
- In the event of illness or injury to the dog, we will:
- Contact the owner immediately.
- Seek veterinary care if required (costs incurred are the client’s responsibility).
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and authorized by the client.
8. Access and Home Entry
- The client agrees to provide safe and reliable access to the property (keys, lockbox, or code).
- We will not be held responsible for home security if keys or codes are provided but were compromised due to client actions.
9. Photos and Social Media
- With client permission, photos and videos of dogs may be taken during walks and shared on our social media or marketing materials.
- No personal client information will be shared other than the dog’s name or the dog’s breed.
10. Termination of Service
- We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if a dog poses a risk to walkers, other dogs, or the public.
- Clients may terminate services at any time with appropriate notice (see cancellation policy).
11. Agreement
By booking our services, you (the client) agree to the above Terms and Conditions. It is the client’s responsibility to review and understand these terms before the commencement of services.
